A2MZ Limited Company ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ItemTracker mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

ItemTracker is designed to help families track and remember where they store infrequently accessed household items, and we take your privacy seriously.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you use ItemTracker, you sign in with your Apple ID through iCloud. We do not collect or store your Apple ID credentials.
  • Item Data: Names, descriptions, locations, and photos of items you choose to track within the App.
  • Profile Information: Optional display name and profile photo you may set within the App.
  • Location Names: Custom location names you create to organize your items (e.g., "Kitchen Cabinet," "Garage Shelf").
  • Photo Detection Images: When you use the "Snap photos, add items" feature, photos are temporarily sent to our secure cloud servers for AI-powered item detection. These images are processed immediately and are not stored—they are deleted as soon as item names are extracted.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Analytics: We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymized usage data. This includes general app usage patterns, feature engagement metrics, and crash reports. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal information or track individual users.
  • Device Information: Basic device type and operating system version for compatibility purposes.
  • AI Processing Logs: When using photo detection, we may log anonymized metadata (such as number of items detected, processing time) for service improvement. No image content is retained.

Important: We do NOT collect item names, locations, or store your photos permanently. Photos used for item detection are processed in real-time and immediately deleted—we never retain your images. Our analytics only track anonymized metadata such as "item created" or "search performed" without any content details.

How Your Data is Stored

ItemTracker uses Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services to store and sync your data. This means:

  • Your item data is stored in your personal iCloud account.
  • Data syncs across your Apple devices using your iCloud credentials.
  • We do not have access to your iCloud data or credentials.
  • Your data is protected by Apple's industry-leading security and encryption.

Photo Detection Processing

Photos submitted through the "Snap photos, add items" feature are temporarily transmitted to secure cloud servers powered by Google's Vertex AI for item detection. These images are processed in real-time and immediately deleted after item names are extracted. The detected item names are then stored in your iCloud account like any other item data. We do not retain, store, or use your photos for any other purpose.

Sharing Features

ItemTracker allows you to share collections with other users. When you share:

  • You control who has access to your shared collections.
  • Shared users can view and edit items based on permissions you grant.
  • You can revoke access at any time.
  • Sharing is facilitated through Apple's CloudKit sharing infrastructure.

How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's functionality.
  • Process photos for AI-powered item detection (images are immediately deleted after processing).
  • Improve the App based on anonymized usage patterns.
  • Identify and fix bugs or technical issues.
  • Respond to your support inquiries.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use TelemetryDeck for anonymized analytics and Google Vertex AI for photo-based item detection. TelemetryDeck does not receive any personal or content data. Google Vertex AI processes photos solely for item detection—images are not stored or used for model training. See Google Cloud's Privacy Policy for more information.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

Your Rights and Choices

Data Access and Deletion

Since your data is stored in your iCloud account:

  • You have full control over your data at all times.
  • You can delete items, collections, or all data within the App.
  • Deleting the App removes local data; iCloud data can be managed through your device's Settings.

Photo Processing

Photos used for item detection are automatically deleted immediately after processing. There is no photo data to request or delete as we do not retain images.

Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of analytics collection through the App's Settings menu.

Children's Privacy

ItemTracker is designed for family use, including children aged 4 and above under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data is stored in the parent's iCloud account when used in a family context.

Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest via Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
  • Photos transmitted for AI processing are encrypted in transit using TLS. Images are processed in memory and immediately discarded—they are never written to permanent storage.
  • Face ID/Touch ID can be enabled for additional app-level security.
  • We follow industry best practices for secure app development.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
